LOCATIONS
Pentland Hills
At the doorstep of our 30 acre site and outdoors-centre, the Pentland hills
provide a fabulous site for introductory mountain biking, canoeing, hill-walking
and fly fishing. This region’s many lochs, footpaths and wooded glens
allow groups quick access to the great outdoors and an ideal setting for environmental
field studies.
Borders
A frequent venue for Harmeny Outdoors courses are the renowned 7-Stanes forests.
Located in the middle of the southern uplands, this area also offers excellent
open canoeing and kayaking opportunities in the Tweed Valley.
Cairngorm and Grampian mountains
From ski lessons at Glenshee in the Grampians, to backpack expeditions in
the Cairngorm, Scotland’s highlands are the site of endless opportunities
for adventure and recreation.
Lothians and Fife
The seaside cliffs of the Firth of Forth coastline provide numerous sites
for rock-climbing, coasteering, and sea kayak touring. The region's countless
beaches and bays also offer a base for marine ecology studies and boating
access.
